I was looking for a chipper big enough to chip a lot of small medium size branches of willow but not industrial and a price i could live with .I did a lot of research on internet and viewed youtube videos of the all chippers i could find .I decided on the rock 13 hp chipper it had a electric start and Briggs and Stratton engine and most important was one opening for all branches and sweepings up .I had seen the chippers with 2 inputs and I thought this is going to take forever sorting branches out so one big opening was the clincher for me .I emailed rock for some technical information and got back a immediate response to my query .I also ordered a 22ton v series log splitter a review for that is coming separately. They arrived very quickly fully built and ready to go with oil in engine and a comprehensive book of instructions my advice read twice be cause this is a beast and you need all information to hand before you start as this swallows branches as fast as you can feed them in and you need to wear ear defenders and safety goggles these were supplied .In a very short time this had reduce a mountain of cherry laurel and willow branches to a lovely pile of chippings took about 5 hours .I decide to check the knifes in the chipper for wear and tear not a mark on them so it looks like they will last forever .And the engine run effortless i am well pleased with my purchase and realise that i had made the perfect choice
